Union Jack Love

Yes, yes, hooray, hooray; finally, finally, the cushion pads/inners (what do you call those things?) arrived in a seriously large box housing seriously bouncy and chubby and well, "full" cushions!  I would take a photo to accompany my text but I sort of attacked the box in a frenzied fashion because I was dying to see my gorgeous cushion covers all stuffed up and cushiony and well, play with them, I suppose.  So without further ado...

Jacky-Ginge got very over-excited when he thought "his" chair was getting some more lovely comfy, cushions. Sorry, Jacky, if you would like one then get over to my new Bloggy shop and buy one!  Of course, he wouldn't actually go and curl up on the chair, where he can habitually be found, he would only perch on the footstool.  You know what they say, never work with animals (or children!)

So, although I have an Etsy store already, sometimes it strikes me as a bit mad that my fellow Brits have to buy my things from an American shop and pay in Dollars, especially given the weakness of the good old GB Pound against the Dollar at the moment. So, having noticed that quite a lot of my bloggy pals have done the same, I've set up a shop which you can access here or via the picture link in the right hand sidebar whenever you fancy. Just the cushions are in there for now, it's very time consuming all this photographing, uploading and so on, but I will add more things if it seems to be what people want. I might also add cushions to Etsy, hey, I've gone shopkeeper crazy!  I am not, I do hope is obvious, wanting to exclude anyone from my new Blogshop, and am more than happy to send purchases to any far flung corner of the globe people should request, and you will see that I have listed postage options for the whole wide world in my Blogshop.  Phew, all that was exhausting.  I really need to make some cushions to relax on myself...

Have a lovely day!
Hen x

  7. I remember you having a Cheshire link, but I haven't the faintest how I know about that. Maybe I'm some kind of daydream stalker.
Yep Knutsford is quite posh, although I think the surrounding areas are more 'new money' than posh if you know what I mean?

  17. Thanks Hen. I love those union jack cushions by the way! Once I'm done with the acting lessons I think I might sign up for some sewing classes. I just haven't a clue about making bags or anything like that for that matter! I wouldn't mind learning how to make clothes. A friend of mine is amazing, she made Tim some skydiving trousers (I know) with union jacks down the side overnight!

It is hard leaving the house, but I have some great friends at work and there are lots of wonderful charity shops in Worthing. :-)

  18. Btw, I saw that you can get a KitchenAid cover, it was very boring and white and the first thing I thought was that Hen could make that in her funky colours. :-)

  21. What patriotic cushions. Maybe you'll have to do some with other countries flags for your overseas buyers.Good luck with the shop. I'd love to have one too but seem to have too many of my own things to make first!

  26. Thanks Hen. I'll be sure to update my blog with all the details and hopefully some photos if I can organise myself to take a camera! My friend went last year and she said she got a kitchen tour and his autograph so I might try and do the same. :-)

  27. Hi Hen

Ha ha yes, I hate that it's never the sewing machine's fault!! My next project I think will be a fleecy blanket for the Moomin.

Thanks for adding me to blogs you watch. Don't forget to leave a comment on my latest post to be entered into my giveaway!! :)

  28. I thought I had already commented here but it must have just been in my head! Your cushions are beautiful and look very well made. I am a stickler for things being made to a high standard! Jacky-Ginge looks most indignant that 'his' chair is covered in cushions and he can't even have one!

  29. I love them!! I recently saw a quilt in some quilt magazine that was made up entirely of union jacks .It was fantastic as your lovely cushions are! Mu husband's Mom came from London and these would be so fun for him.
