My dear readers, I am afraid your suspicions are correct and Mr HenHouse, the Munchkin and yours truly are still currently roughing it somewhere on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. We have no idea when we're going to be able to get on a flight back home but we hope it's soon because this beach and those cocktails are getting to be hard work!
We hope you all had a lovely Easter and have fingers crossed that normal blogging action shall soon be resumed. Thanks so much for your very kind concerns.
Bye for now...
Hen xxx

ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you might be and how you are all managing!
Take care..wish you were here ;-)
Sal
Oh my goodness! I do hope you'll be back in time for the fair! This volcano has caused so many problems - I feel so sorry for you having to force down those cocktails.....
ReplyDeleteJayne
You poor girl...it may be quite some time from what I have heard...have fun!
ReplyDeleteOh dear! Take care and hope you get flights sorted soon. The outlook looks slightly brighter today - but you never know. It's a bit far for the Royal Navy to come and get you I suppose.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip back and just keep enjoying yourself!!! we will be here with bells on!
ReplyDeleteOh it's a hard life Hen!
ReplyDeleteIf you are going to get back in time for the V & H fair you had better hire a pedalo and start pedalling!
Enjoy your castaway days while you can!!
Love
Michele
Better to be safe and be stranded on a beautiful island with good drinks, food, family and fun! Look forward to your posts when you return!

Oh No! It sounds dreadful. Best to just settle down in the sun with another cocktail and make the best of it. It's a dirty job ....
ReplyDeleteHello Hen, I hope you, Mr H & the munchkin get home safely at some point.

ReplyDeleteIsabelle
Oh dear - hope you make it back soon, but try hard not to let the beach and coctails get to you in the meantime!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a safe travel back home very soon, Hen!
ReplyDeleteMonicax.
Oh Hen. Hope you get back home soon.
ReplyDeletePoppy Cottage in Bridport
Oh no! No rush, Just get back safely! Could you explain that we need you at the V@H fair!!!
ReplyDeleteO my. I wasn't sure if that was tongue in cheek or for real. Not the being stranded, that must be a pain, but the cocktails. Still you can get weary of anything after a while. Good luck hope things change soon and you can head home.
ReplyDeleteAh, you are now a participant in a historic event. Hoping that participation is not too awful, and that you all will safely be able to return home soon.
ReplyDeleteAlso admit that I hope that you are taking lots of photos wherever you are, because your travel posts are always a true treat.

Hi, I am very sad for you on an island with so little to do and probably beautiful water to swim in, lovely fesh fish to eat and what else....no time to read, crochet, knit or sew!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe have friends stuck in Seoul, Korea, on their flight home to UK from Ausralia. I don't think they are enjoying thamselves quite so much! The must have left Sydney minutes before the stop so bad luck as they could have come to us on the farm for a few more days. I enjoy reading your blog but this is the first time of writing. Enjoy your bonus holiday with your lovely family, Aubrey
Hen, I was beginning to wonder where you were.
ReplyDeleteI hope you packed a crochet hook and yarn, to help you through this crises, or you will be having withdrawal symptoms.
Might as well enjoy the extra down time and hopefully you will be back in your Henhouse soon. Safe travels.
Oh Hen! I was thinking of you and wondering. You poor things, I hope you're able to get back soon. Thank you so much for the lovely Birthday card, I have it sitting next to me as I write, it was a really nice surprise. Would have thanked you sooner if I'd known you have access to the internet. Well, take care, and hope to see you home soon. Love Vanessa xxx
ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like the situation is improving very much so make the most of your extended holiday. Knowing Lola-the-cat-sitter will be looking after the other important member of your family must ease any worries of home but I'm sure you will be more than happy to get back to the Henhouse.
ReplyDeleteCarol xx
Yes, I had guessed as much. Hope you are home soon. Sue x
ReplyDeleteHi Hen
ReplyDeleteI thought as much...Oh dear, I hope that the extended stay managed to be a pleasant one rather than the hell some passengers described....
Good luck and safe journey home.
Take care
Warm wishes
Isabelle x
oh you poor thing - it sounds dreadful!!
ReplyDeleteseriously though... you must be desperate to get back to your den and make more lovely things. At least you have your family with you. Hopefully you will get rescued soon!
Praying for you, and your bank account. Those cocktails are fun, but they can break the bank after a while.
ReplyDeleteMaybe God is trying to tell you to relax.
Seriously, we're all trying really hard to NOT be jealous.
Hope you are home by now Hen - been missing your blog. Hugs to you all. xx
ReplyDeleteI SO enjoyed your blog...every photo. Love your sense of color...so telling about the joyful soul you are. CharlieBoy's photo made me smile. I added your blog to my blog list! shery j
