Ah - lovely! Are the second and second to last shots everything you were bringing home with you? Can't say I'd blame you. Thank you for the sunshine! x
Oh la la.. what a lovely historic eden! Lucky you and the guys too.. everything anyone could want for a vacation. Glad you had fun.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Ooh Hen, do I spot beautiful Brantome in a couple of those pics? We spent a wonderful fortnight near there last year, such a stunning region, I bet you all had the most perfect holiday xx
Wonderful photos. We had a Citroen Diane in the 70's, it was great fun, it seemed to be compulsory for all (male!) drivers to have beards. Thank you for bringing the sun home with you. Carol xx
Oh how lovely to see your photo of patchwork by the pool - and reassuring too. I often feel like the only one, and consequently a bit eccentric. I am currently packing for a week in Collioure (south west France) and instead of the classic choosing of flip flops to match my swimwear, I am going through my scrap box and choosing colours for a patchwork project to take with me. I tend to use a machine these days to save time but it's always a treat to go back to the old paper and handstitching method because on holiday I have all the time in the world!
Whilst I do not mind people linking to my blog, I hope you will understand that I believe if people want to see my photos, then they should do so on my own blog which is where they belong. That is what makes everyone's blog individual. Thanks, Hen

Hello and thank you for visiting the HenHouse. I'm a stay-at-home thirty-something mum looking after Mr HenHouse and the Munchkin, aged 11 (going on 15). We have three fabulous cats who we adore and spoil rotten: Charlie Boy, Vorey Puss and Jacky Ginge. We split our time between our Victorian home in London and our weekend bolthole in the West Country which is a dinky 16th Century thatched cottage. I have always loved vintage, particularly the pink and flowery. I have collections of eiderdowns, china and fabrics to name just a few. I love sewing and am an avid patchworker and quilter. As a family, we are dotty about the past and love the 1940s, often dressing up for re-enactment events. To fund my fabric habit, I have the occasional stall at craft fairs and sell handmade items over the 'net, too. Our homes have been featured in magazines and I'm pretty nutty about interiors.
